Hello holidays! A time we are so busy that fitting in enough sleep seems difficult let alone penciling in a workout. Many of us tend to think if we can’t dedicate an hour to a workout then “what’s the point?” and it gets skipped. However, myself and mommy chic fitness guru Cortney are here to tell you there is a point. Remember something is better than nothing and that something will help you stay sane and in a healthy routine. So don’t put off your workouts until the New Year, just shorten them as needed. I promise you that you will still feel better even if it is only 25 minutes of brisk walk… which happens to be all I had time for today, but like I said it was something:).
For more ways to squeeze in a quickie, check out some of Cortney’s favorite at home workouts. Quick, effective and you don’t even need to leave the house! All you need are the items hyperlinked below, and you have found the perfect way to stay “swimsuit ready” . Whether you will soon be strolling the beach or hitting a mountainside hot tub you can do so in confidence. All that’s left is a spray tan… oh and possibly a plane ticket, but let’s not get bogged down with the details.
Thanks Cort for the Fitspiration! xx
“I’m so busy this holiday I have no time to workout!” I hear this excuse so much during this crazy time of year, especially among my mommy friends. If this sounds familiar, read on!
I wanted to give you some quick, do it at home, 30 minute routines to jam in for the holidays. For most of these routines all you need are: some light to medium weights, a yoga mat, and your computer.
Taking advantage of YouTube is the easiest and cheapest way to bring a personal trainer to your home! Plus, you get to choose the work out you’re in the mood for. Simply type in ’30 minute workout’ into the search bar. Now a bunch of awesome videos are at your fingertips! I personally like Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred: Level 1 and Bodyweight Cardio Calorie Blaster – 30 Minute Cardio Workout at Home (see below to view the video). Try a few different videos to find your own favorite.
No matter how you manage it, remember to stick as closely as possible to your regular workout routine during the holiday season. Eat, bake, laugh, and sweat daily.
Happy Healthy Holidays!
with love,
Cortney
