Fave Five Friday: Best (non diaper) Bags for Mom Life Under $200

img_2842

Park life with the four kiddos while we wait for my oldest football practice to start… and yes my daughter is in a black tutu cat costume that she just had to wear to the park and I did not feel like arguing. It is all about picking and choosing my battles with all these free spirits:)

With the start of school starts the loads of activities and sports making it necessary to have a great bag for all the various events. It must be large enough to carry snacks, diapers/wipes (since one of mine is still in diapers), possibly a change of clothes, water bottles, maybe a small turkish towel and I am likely missing a million other things, but all you moms of young kids get what I am saying. And, this doesn’t include the items I like to carry for myself- small card case wallet, keys, lipgloss & a phone. So on top of finding a bag large enough for all of the aforementioned I also like to have a pocket of two inside to hold my items. For me that is just the starting off criteria because it also needs to look good, be easy to carry and not cost a fortune since I will be dragging it from one soccer/football field/park to another. Oh & I almost forgot one of the most important things- it needs to have zipper so that if (more like when) it gets knocked over everything doesn’t go spilling out.

So… when I saw this bag (above) by Splendid I thought it just might fit the long list of requirements and it did! Plus I love a chic black & white stripped anything! It has become my “mom life” bag for this season and since I am enjoying it so much I wanted to share it with you as well as some other great options. Hope you all find something from my “Fave Five Friday” picks that is perfect for your busy mom life too:)

Have a joyful weekend friends! It is starting to feel a little like fall here in LA and our weekends are filled with soccer games and watching/or attending USC games and I love it!! xx Jess

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
