Toddler in Twin Chic Week: Workout Gear

We all have those days where we will be in workout clothes for part of the day, or sometimes even all day. It may not be the most chic way to run around town, but fortunately there are quite a few companies making work out wear that still looks good. For me personally, I wear a lot of lululemon. It is a tried and true favorite.  I find that the fit is always great and it washes and washes and washes and still looks good. This is key when we are talking clothes that will get dirty from sweat (because you actually had time to squeeze in a workout) or because peanut butter was smeared on them.

As I have mentioned before I like to run, and fortunately for this is something that can be done with little ones and the right stroller. I have been told by many moms that their children just won’t sit in a stroller, but trust me, they will! My firstborn was the most challenging since he simply could not understand why I was not holding him every waking moment. However, over time he realized that he would be going for a stroller ride come hell or high water so that I could be a nicer mommy to him and all of humanity. Usually, when it comes to a newborn baby it is easy enough to time your morning walk or jog with a nap, but once they are on the move it can be more challenging to get them to sit still. For this reason, every time I go out with my {most recent} toddler she has her snack cup and a sippy full of water. This seems to tide her over most of the ride, and fortunately she also seems to genuinely enjoy checking out the world around her. When this won’t cut it, other “sit still” aides I have used for my boys include: lollipops, an iPad or an actual book (remember when that was all we had to entertain us?? ). stroller stroller // snack cup // organic lollipops // iPad // book // sippy cup // protective case

Regardless of how you make it happen, every mom needs to make sure she is getting some sort of exercise. The endorphin release and fresh flow of oxygen will help keep you sane and calm. I promise it will make dealing with those oh-so -pleasant toddler tantrums just a little bit easier. But perhaps you need a little more work out inspiration?? I have found that a cute new work out look and some great music can go a long way!

Check out what we have found for you and tomorrow morning when you get up and throw on your workout gear, make time to actually work out! Then hopefully find time for a shower and a J’adore look like the one earlier this week. Not only will you feel better, but your clothes will fit better too. Trés happy mommy chic! xx workout sneakers // baseball cap // skirt // tank // water bottle // jacket

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
