Quick and easy brownie trifle… Seems to good to be true, but with lalasweets it never is!! This mom knows her desserts. Our kids are going to LOVE us for this one!
Have a gathering or party coming up? Need a quick and easy dessert that is guaranteed to satisfy your sweet craving and also impress your guests? Then try this quick and easy Brownie Trifle. This trifle is made the day before and is typically served in a classic trifle dish. The beautiful layers of brownies, whipped topping, and pudding are always stunning. However if you want to take it to the next level and really make it special then it’s all about how you serve this dish.
My number one tip to impress your guests is presentation. Any dessert just isn’t as good, in my opinion, when its sliced and served onto a boring plate with a fork or spoon. Presentation is key to impressing your guests. Think outside of the box when looking for serve ware. These mini mason jars are chic and always earn the ‘wow’ factor at my parties (you can find these mason jars online on Amazon).
So the next time you have a little gathering and want to whip up something quick….try this!
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Ready in: 8 hours
Servings: Trifle dish (24) or 48 mini mason jars
INGREDIENTS:
– 2 small containers of store bought brownie bites, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
-1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate
pudding mix
1/2 cup water
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed
milk
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped
topping, thawed
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped
topping, thawed
2 (bags) of Trader Joe’s Cowboy Bark, broken into smaller peices
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large bowl, combine pudding mix, water and sweetened milk. Mix until smooth, then fold in 8 ounces of whipped topping until no streaks remain.
2. In a trifle bow, place half of the brownies, half of the pudding mixture and half of the 12 ounce container of whipped topping. Repeat layers. Top with bark. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.
**For mason jars, you will only do one layer of each. Follow step 2. Use a small ice cream scooper to spoon the pudding mixture and whipped topping easily into each jar.
