No Valentine’s Day is complete without some bubbles, and lucky for you I have spent countless hours researching this very subject. So follow our MCbJ guide to know exactly what you should be sipping this February 14th.
The true Champagnes… This means they come from the Champagne region in France. It will not say Champagne on the bottle unless it is from this area. The widest selection and the very best come out of France.
I know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but in this case go for it! These two beautiful bottles below are worth the splurge.
*Tip* Save them after the celebration and write the date on the label for a special momento.
It’s not France but here are a couple of Italian and Spanish versions that will have you feeling giddy.
Finally, the California sparkling wines. Seeing as this is our hometown we can’t leave them out. Plus, there are a couple of noteworthy sparkling wines here as well.
Fun Fact: the first bottle of Champagne was actually created in England by accident.
Finally, I recommend going to your local wine and spirits store to find these bottles. They will have a better selectionand possibly better prices.
Sante!
with love,
