Mommy Beach Chic

beachchicfavs This is a collection of some of my beach and pool favs (as clearly shown in the picture I snapped at home). These are all the things you need to pair with an amazing swimsuit like this Mara Hoffman we featured last week in our swimwear guide. Now see what you could wear it with…

First, the Eric Javitz hat is one of the best! I get one every couple years and pretty much pack them and wear them until they wear out on me. Then I get a new one. They are pricey, but worth it! Well made, and really can you put a price on protecting your face from the sun??

Next up are the Ray Ban aviators. They are a classic must have. Enough said.

Moving on to a cover up. I am pretty much obsessed with my black Mikoh cover up. It is the perfect light weight material and cut in a way that is both stylish and flattering. Trust me you need this one… I need this one. I am going to order the white version before they are all snapped up.

Now to your feet… keeping them looking neat (ok I just wanted to throw in a little rhyme 🙂 ) with hand made
K. Jacques sandals. Created out of St. Tropez, it shows that the French also know beach chic. I wear and wear and wear mine… and they are still looking good. Love that!

Lastly, no cheesy give-away towels for this bunch… we like to lounge in style. So don’t forget a beautiful beach towel like the one pictured here.

So now that your look is complete… minus your tote (still to come on MCbJ in our tote guide), sunscreen (duh!) and fruity drink with an umbrella in it (a vacay must have 🙂 ) all we need is somewhere to go. Fortunately spring break is only about a month away. I am pretty sure I am more excited than the kids! xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
