Destination Chic: St. Regis, Punta Mita

pic3

My aunt once said to me that when you travel with kids (especially young ones) it is a trip, not a vacation. I have found this to be usually true. Forget sleeping in, enjoying a long leisurely lunch or reading by the pool. Instead you might see the sunrise, eat a lot of french fries and spend most of your time in the pool, not beside it.

Our recent trip to Punta Mita was no exception, but I truly felt like I was on vacation. If you follow me on Instagram I kept calling the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort a “family paradise” and it was! This place had the perfect mix of adult and child amenities. And our room… Well, let’s just say if I ever go missing you will know where to find me.

The kids had the best time of their lives and so did we! If you have taken many “trips” with your kiddos you know that this is often a tough balance to strike. In fact, we all almost cried when we had to leave and not because I was missing the kids being in school. So, yes, you might actually call this trip a “vacation.” xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
