Super Mommy Week: Je Ne Sais Quoi

My guess is you would never think to use a striped tee as the base for an elegant evening look… but it can be done and done well! In fact, mixing patterns is a fun trend you will see this spring and summer. In addition, you will see a lot of floral patterns like the one here. Now keep in mind not all florals are created equal. Some are just plain ugly and look more like a cheesy bedspread from the 1950’s than a cute pair of pants. So don’t go buying any floral item you see just to be on trend. In fact, this is a good lesson for any seasonal trend. Just because an item might show the latest trend does not mean it looks good. We have all seen the people working hard to follow a trend, but instead should be on a “Don’t List”. Trust your instinct… even when it comes to fashion.

However, some trends are gorge and meant to be worn. For instance, I  am simply in love with this blazer… the colors, the shape, the pattern… it is perfection! Whether you wear it with these ultra flattering high-waisted shorts or with a pair of jeans, this blazer will make your outfit! Your trendy item is often best paired with the classic as you see here. And for those times that you really want to get fancy throw some bling bling around your neck and even on your feet. No one will miss you or just how stylish moms can be! Yep that’s right…you still got it.  😉
Definitely Super Mommy Chic! xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
