Spooky Chic: J’adore

Looking Halloween Chic and not Halloween Cheesy is an issue facing every mom. Chances are if you did not have little ones dying to see you all “Halloween-ed out” you would not be wearing black cat socks just for a smile. However, I know that I will do anything to see my kiddos smile, and I will admit their enthusiasm is contagious. I can honestly say I have never been so excited about carving pumpkins or making my house the spookiest one on the block… not even sure how that happened, but when you have two boys, all of sudden putting “zombie crossing” caution tape across your house seems like a fantastic idea. Hopefully the neighbors don’t mind!

Yet somehow I still believe my house looks chic… I may be in mommy denial.  🙂  However, I do truly believe that when it comes to decorating your house one should try to have just enough décor to be noticeable, but not too much as too be gaudy. In fact, I apply this same idea to dressing. A lot of this depends on accessorizing. So, this Halloween pick up a spooky chic accessory or one of the above average t-shirts out there. And whether it is volunteering at the school party, passing out treats or drinking goblin juice, you will be doing it in spooky style. xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
