Pregnancy Style Tour 4.0: Weeks 27-28

intro2 Our recent (quick) trip up to Santa Barbara was extra special for a couple reasons. First, I finally was able to see a gorgeous avocado property that my husband has been talking for a year. And, second, it was precious time for my hubby with his two girls. Since he gets to spend the least amount of time with our sweet little girl and when he does our two wild (but cute 🙂 ) boys tend to dominate his attention with requests for wrestling matches and basketball games. He happily obliges, and thank goodness, since you won’t find me wrestling with them. Tickle war, yes, but all out wrestling is not my thing and especially not my thing being pregnant… obviously! However, since when the hubby is home he is often too busy doing “manly things” (and not usually by choice) to get quality time with his little girl. So it was on this brief trip that they really had great bonding time and he has a chance to really appreciate her fun, endearing little personality. Not to mention, she even fell asleep cuddled in his arms… I know, be still my heart! So, all in all it was a 24 hours packed with beautiful sites to behold all around.

intro And the “aww moments” didn’t stop there since later in the week was Grandfriends’ Day at my son’s preschool. My beautiful mom (yes, that is grandma!?!) came the morning traffic up from Orange County to be part of the day. It meant the world to my son!! He was so proud!! He even insisted on dressing up for the occasion wearing a sport coat. I, too,  got to be part of the fun as the yearbook photographer… which, I like to joke is my other “job”.

As you can see the baby belly is in full bloom (some looks more than others) and I am having fun “styling the bump.” It won’t be long before I will never have a bump to style again. So I am trying my best to appreciate these moments.

I hope you all have found your moments of appreciation this week and have many more this weekend! It is not always easy in this crazy chaotic life with kids, but when you find one of those moments, breathe it in and let it power you through the not-so-enjoyable moments. I say this to you, but I am really saying it to myself. It is easy to get caught up in the things that don’t truly matter, but I am always striving to stay focused on the things that do. Happy weekend lovelies! xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
