Modern Classics

Location: Tavern Brentwood

Some things never go out of style… Jeans, white tees, black pumps & blazers. Regardless of the decade there will always be some version of this look. It is classic chic. Today’s modern version features some of my favorite labels, trendy touches like ripped jeans and one “style steal of a find.”

Those faves are Frame Denim, James Perse and Saint Laurent (really, who doesn’t love them??). The style steal find is the black blazer with gold buttons that I picked up at White House Black Market while working in Chicago last week. I couldn’t find it online for you all, but I checked to make sure it is still available in store. So you can score this jacket by calling the Michigan Ave, Chicago store. Best of all it is on sale for only $49.99 and for that price it truly is a style steal. Such a classic win. 🙂 xx

Philanthropy

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
