MAXImum Style

Anyone that knows me (or regularly follows MCbJ:)) understands that I have a mild obsession with the long maxi and will wear one every chance I get. Right now I particularly love this one by Free People that I wore to celebrate my best friend’s bridal shower at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood. It was the perfect dress to match the venue and the festive occasion. And seeing as today is Cinco de Mayo it is the ideal timing to share this dress that has clearly been influenced by the sun lovers south of the border. I will mention that I had to make some alterations so that it fit properly in the chest area and it is probably not the best dress for those of you with a little more in that area (clearly not the case for me:)). But not to worry if you fall into that category, I have also included some of the other long maxis I am loving. Fortunately, fashion insiders all say” the long maxi a trend right now” (I mean isn’t it always!?!) so there is a plethora of beauties to choose from making it the time to try this comfy chic style or add another one to your closet (me!).  And trust me once you go maxi you will never go back. Best of all you can eat all the chips and guacamole that your little heart desires and no one can tell:). Happy Cinco de Mayo and in the words of the great Lionel Richie “Fiesta, Forever”. xx Jess

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
