Lynn’s Makeup Primer Faves

One question that I always get asked is- what is the best foundation primer to use? There are so many out there that can help you achieve different looks and finishes, so today I’m going to share with you a few of my favorites. No matter if you’re looking for a matte long wearing finish, or something dewy and luminous I almost always start with Benefit POREfessional primer first. This primer is life changing! It will fill in fine lines, and large pores as a spot treatment, or you can apply this all over for a long wearing and matte finish. Perfect for oilier skin. Your makeup will look flawless and smooth over this incredible primer.

If you’re like me and like glowy skin, then the NARS Light Optimizing Primer is for you. I even wear this primer over bare skin for a beautiful and luminous look when I’m running around and don’t want to wear any makeup. It’s pearlescent finish reflects light to minimize the look of imperfections and has an SPF 15. It’s an instant lift for tired looking skin. What more could you want?!

A new favorite of mine is Dior Glow Maximizer. It is a more dramatic version of the Nars prime. It can be applied before or after your foundation. I love mixing this with foundation for an all over glow. Or you can tap this on the top of the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and any other high points of the face for a more dramatic highlighted look.

I’m always experimenting with new products. Those are my current faves. Tell me yours! I would love to know!

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
