Easter 2016

This year for Easter we decided to stay in Los Angeles rather than head to Newport Beach to celebrate with our family. This was not because we didn’t want to be with everyone, but with my husband returning from China the day before and our family headed to Mexico the day after we decided it was best to stay local. The only thing was we were unsure of exactly how we would celebrate one of my favorite holidays. Fortunately, we had a fun and fabulous alternative of going to the Bel Air Hotel for an egg hunt and brunch. This of course was after Easter mass at our gorgeous, but craaazy crowded church. I would like to say that all the kids were perfect, but this was not the case and it was haaard. Especially unnerving was the fact that my oldest son insisted we sit in the front row and when you unitentionally show up an hour early because you had the wrong time the front row is an option. It was however, an option we should not have taken. Lesson learned- we are back row near an exit people for many years to come!

After that “interesting” experience part of me just wanted to go home, but I am glad we didn’t. We had the best time with our friends and the brunch was amazing. Plus, the kiddos actually behaved fairly well and enjoyed roaming the grounds of this stunning hotel property.

Another highlight for me was the clothing (of course!). I love springtime Easter fashion and while I of course love dressing up the little ones I was particularly excited about my dress this year. I couldn’t wait to share it with all of you, but unfortunately it is now sold out. However, you can join the wait list, which means it will often come available again. And in case that just isn’t good enough for you and you need an “on trend floral blue & white dress” right now I have picked out some other beautiful options in a wide variety of prices and styles. Happy spring shopping! xx Jess

PS- During our brunch there was also plenty of excitement when Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom showed up. And, our little Elle being the lucky little lady she is got a bracelet from him while playing in the fountain with another little girl that was part of his group. How cute is that?? Hopefully one day she will appreciate it. 🙂

Chasing down the kiddos who are chasing down eggs… and such. 🙂

Always giving kisses!

And the rest of the Easter chaos… oops I mean fun. 🙂

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
