Easter 2015

fam1 fam2

I love Easter clothes… For me, for the hubby but especially for the kiddos! I start thinking about what they will wear weeks in advance: a) because it goes with the job description and, b) because I truly enjoy looking at all the adorable things out there.

The boys are a little tougher only because you can only do so much with a boy’s look before it starts to look a little squirrely. For this reason I tend to stick with classic GQ style in seasonal/festive colors when dressing up. However, when it comes to girls the options are limitless. Do you go with a dress, a romper or even a mini pant suit?? Then once that is figured out there are still endless amounts of shoes and accessories to choose from. Oh, it’s just so fun!! And so was our weekend!

It was busy and exhausting as usual, and some of us even may have overindulged a little like my baby girl who threw up post Easter egg hunt party, followed by a 5:30pm pass out. Somehow with college football games in her distant future I don’t think this will be the last time this will happen, but then again, surely she will have a better head on her shoulders than some of us, right??

For me, the highlight was not the jellybeans (and did I mention I love Starburst jellybeans??), but rather an Easter mass where everyone sat nicely the whole time… Well, not quite the whole time, but at least when my 4 year old started rolling around on the ground he looked very handsome doing so. 😉

All in all, a weekend filled with great memories like finding out my hubby likes taking photos with the Easter bunny more than my kids do, to a wild search for Easter baskets where the boys declared the bunny had “pooped in their baskets” upon seeing the jellybeans at the bottom of them (anyone who has seen the movie Hop knows what they are talking about). Hope yours was filled with funny and loving moments as well! xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
