Site Chic Week: J’adore

Online shopping is a big part of being mommy chic. I shop for myself, the kids, the hubby, the house and even the pets online. Obviously it is super time efficient, something that is key for any busy mommy. It also allows me to see more options than if I just went to a store. For this reason I even do some of my client shopping online.

Like everything in life it is about balance. Sometimes you need something that day or you just want to hit the mall for the fun of looking and trying on. And speaking of trying on, this is the one area of weakness when it comes to online shopping. I expect that I will return part or even sometimes all of what was purchased. For this reason I tend to go with sites that have free shipping and returns. I will, however, forgo this when ordering from a unique, online boutique.

Since this is such a popular topic we are dedicating the whole week to online shopping. Each day we will bring you our MCbJ fave online sites. Clients and friends, you asked and we are delivering.

Today it is all about PFKT (priced for kid time) clothing sites. So not only will you save time, but also money. Trés efficient chic! xx

asos We’re guessing that many of our readers are probably frequent ASOS shoppers already. But if you’re just finding out about this UK based website, prepare to take out your cc because you’re going to need it. The site offers trendy pieces at wallet-friendly prices. Don’t you hate spending $$$$ on pieces with an expiration date but you do want to wear them until they go out of style? This place is perfect for buying those pieces. The quality isn’t superb – I mean, you can’t expect designer quality for a $30 top though, right? But from our personal experience, the quality is much better than Forever21. If you’re more about quality than quantity, make sure to check out their designer collection – you’ll find brands like Orla Kiely, Paul & Joe, Vanessa Bruno Athe, and more.

topshop We love TOPSHOP because you can find AND buy all the runway trends from each season. You’ll find everything from basics to season’s “It” pieces without breaking the bank. Fans of TOPSHOP especially can’t get enough of the retailer’s collaborations with Christopher Kane and Kate Moss. They offer free shipping and returns so that’s a major plus!

HL HAUTELOOK is a members-only site (it’s free to join) where you can score some good deals for a limited time. You can get up to 75% off on clothing for the whole family, kids toys, beauty, to knick knacks for the home.
The only complaint that we have is that shipping takes a long time. If you need something fast, forget it. You might have to wait at least 2-3 weeks to receive the goodies.  The deals are great but you would have to be patient.
Be on the lookout for sales with your fave brands – we’ve snagged some J. Brand jeans, Chan Luu bracelets, and basics by C&C in the past. Just remember that when they feature events with top brands, if you snooze you’ll lose.

threadsence If your style is boho-chic, ThreadSence will make you want to keep clicking all day. Price ranges from $10 for printed leggings to cute dresses and bottoms under $200 from brands like For Love and Lemons, and Novella Royale. Don’t forget to check out their sale section – they have some cute pieces from Flynn Skye, MINKPINK, and Jen’s Pirate Booty right now.

sosie If you love budget-friendly clothing, shoes and accessories, you’ll love Sosie. You can find tanks from $5 to utility jackets under $100. The site targets young consumers so some of the pieces may look “junior-ish” but Sosie also has a wide selection of tops and dresses that would work for women of all ages.

We’re lovin’ this cute skort, a cute sleeveless vest for summer (a steal at $46!), and this Tolani-inspired dress that we would also wear as a coverup.

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
