Pregnancy Style Tour 4.0: Hello Third Trimester!

I can easily say this has been my most challenging pregnancy of all of them. Between the nausea, health scare, work and three other little ones to keep up with I have just felt crummy and exhausted. I know this is a little “complainy”, but with all that it has been a little difficult for me to feel excited and I really have struggled to enjoy this miracle. Which of course has made me feel guilty… isn’t it nice that “mom guilt” can even start in the womb??:). However, with that being said I am almost there and with every movement, even the ones straight to the ribs, my excitement grows.

I am rather certain this will be my very last pregnancy so I am trying to document every stage, something I wasn’t as good about doing in the past pregnancies. I am celebrating my belly and feeling more confident than ever in my pregnant body. I even feel kind of pretty… or at least I have my moments of feeling that way:).

In any pregnancy hitting the 28 week mark is a big milestone. It is the home stretch and I wanted to document the excitement we were feeling. I also wanted it to be easy and natural. To me there is nothing more natural than playing at home with my kids in our comfy clothes. So as you can see here that is exactly what we were doing. It isn’t fancy, but I may love these photos more than any others we have ever taken because they are so real and playful. My belly is cute (if I don’t say so myself:)), but the fun the kiddos are having is even cuter. And while I intended this to be a 28 week shoot to me it is more of a “motherhood shoot”. It is unpredictable and silly. To me it is a reminder that often when I can put aside my agenda and just let the kids be kids that is when the moments of pure joy are captured.

So this Mother’s Day my wish for you (and for me) is that we can all put aside our agendas. Of course I hope you are pampered and treated as the hardworking, loving queen you are, but I also hope that you feel the freedom to do little more than just relax and enjoy the little miracles you have created. Afterall, we deserve moments to focus solely on the joy and not what we need to do next.

Happy Mother’s Day friends!! You all inspire me as moms and as people- beautiful both inside and out. xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
