All right, I admit it: Easter has completely snuck up on me this year! I am usually the one who has my decorations out at least a month ahead of time along with Easter basket goodies already hidden away and not because I am always that organized, but because I LOVE HOLIDAYS! Well…not this year! Between moving and being pregnant with number four I am behind on everything! In fact, I still need to pull out my decorations (wherever they are in the garage) and figure out what the Easter bunny will be bringing the kiddos.
I am also hosting a small Easter brunch that I would like to get a couple cute décor items for. So… in other words, I need to get on it and all this has prompted me to start my search… online, of course! I don’t actually have the time to go to a store and the convenience of being able to pick from so many different things/places while staying in one place just can’t be beat.
So, if you are like me and still need to gather up some Easter items, I have done part of the leg work for you by sorting through the good, the bad, and the great!
Here is what my will be around my house the day that magical bunny drops by. 🙂
Part 1: Easter Baskets
I like to fill them with mostly things I would be buying for the kids anyway- hello, money saver & junk minimizer! So, at this time of year it usually has to do with outdoor activities and beach/pool toys. My kiddos are little artists as well, so I am always in need of fresh crayons, markers, paint, paper etc.… and this is the perfect excuse to stock up. I also like to include a new book since the Easter bunny obviously “loooves to read.” Sometimes I include jellybeans in their baskets, but this year since we are doing a hunt in our backyard they will get enough candy from that so I won’t put any sweet treats in their actual baskets. Plus, it would take away the fun of hunting if they received everything at once.
There are several sites that have great Easter basket stuffers, but I like to go with diapers.com and their sister sites to get everything I need since I know the goodies will arrive in a day or two. They also have a huge selection of the brands I like, and almost everything is on sale right now. Makes sense, right?
