…….

I’ve been in a recent interior photo shooting whirlwind these last couple of days. My car has been piled high with furniture, rugs, art, and my favorite accessories to stage some of these shots. My fingers are raw from cutting tags, peeling tags, and searching blindly for nails in a bag – that a drive to the manicurist should be my next stop… but it is not. Some facetime with my desk is a necessity.

Since I’m fresh off the accessory bandwagon – I thought I’d show you my favorite ways and places to accessorize. Here’s what you do… convince your better other half, or grab some money from yo’ own account, to part with $500 and you can give those bookcases, coffee tables, mantles, and shelves a facelift! Pick an area….liiiiiike coffee table, side table, and mantle – or – bookshelves – or – bedside tables.

Then – take that $500 – and get your accessory fingers ready!

Here are my favorite cost effective places (I’ll save the splurge locations/sites for another post) to find all the loot one’s heart can desire to make your home… homey.

// IKEA
// West Elm
// Amazon.com
// Target
// Crate and Barrel

Here are a few of my favorite things….

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
