As moms we often think of our children first and, for me, holiday clothes are no different. However, us mommies still need to look fabulous too. After all, there are family photos to think about… and heaven forbid you look frumpy in that Easter pic you put on Instagram! In order to avoid such a catastrophic disaster you had better start thinking about your Easter outfit now.
Thanks to my fave local boutique, Bardot, I already know what I am wearing. About a month ago I stopped by for something else, of course, and I walked out with the perfect Easter dress. I love it when that happens. Now I don’t even have to think about it. Not to mention, have you noticed that when you are looking for something specific it can be difficult to find that perfect “thing”? For this reason, I firmly believe that when you do see that “thing” (even if it is for an occasion several months away) you buy it! I do this with my clients when it comes to seasonal wardrobes as well. It seems odd to buy for fall in the middle of summer, but this is often when the best clothes, bags and shoes are available. If you wait too long that stunning dress may be gone… hopefully not on sale! I just hate it when that happens, but sometimes it is a chance you have to take.
So when it comes to dressing yourself for this Easter, plan ahead and think Spring! Have fun with a girly dress or skirt, some bling-bling jewels, sweet stilettos and a lady like clutch. Now is the perfect time to put away the black and bring on the white. Just add in some of this season’s pretty pastels and voilá Easter Chic!
This way even if everyone won’t cooperate (mine rarely do!) and take that perfect family photo you can still gracefully smile because you know how fabulous you look… and you might even get a few extra “likes” for it.. xx
