Baby in Bassinet Chic Week: Fave Finds $150 & Under

Last week on MCbJ we talked all about what to wear when your “Baby is on Board,” but now that your “Baby is in Bassinet,” you may be just as clueless (or more so) when it comes to what to wear. And it is hard to try and figure this out when your sleep-deprived brain is not firing on all cylinders. Or, let’s say you are super woman and it is, but then you still need to find the time to shop which is a little tough when you can barely find the time to take a shower.

Not to mention, when you finally do go shopping and have roughly 90 minutes until the next feeding you better know what you are looking for, and still be prepared to sit in a dressing room feeding your little love… And speaking of nursing… All the tops and dresses we found are  breast-feeding friendly. This means buttons, zippers or stretchy material that easily allows you to whip out your feeding mechanism out on a moment’s notice. And trust me when your baby is screaming for milk, a moment does not seem fast enough.

We have also picked out clothing that will flatter a tummy that unfortunately still looks a couple months pregnant even after the baby is long gone. Don’t worry it will go back to “almost” flat over time and we will talk more about ways to achieve this later in the week.

In the meantime, we here at MCbJ are here to show you that just because you feel like a cow (literally and figuratively) does not mean you have to look like one. Plus everything here is budget friendly, because let’s be honest here, do you really want to spend a fortune on clothes that you will only wear for a short amount of time?? Take it from me you don’t. In addition to being temporary these are the clothes that will likely get spit up on multiple times.

So take that urge to splurge that can come after having a baby and direct it towards a “push present” or something else fabulous for date night like a new pair of heels. Yes, you will make it out of the house looking gorgeous once more, but until then you need clothes that are comfy chic and “priced for kid time”.  These fave finds for summer are just what you will need and best of all, you can get it all without ever having to leave the house. Tres priceless! xx

Because it is always chic to give.  As moms we are always giving and most of the time it is not even appreciated until our children are much older (let's hope!) So it may seem challenging to give to anyone else, but we should all try no matter how little the amount or the time. Thinking outside of ourselves is good for our hearts and those of our children.
